Understand the debate modes

Text, spoken, and live-voice debate; what each needs, which plan includes it, and connection troubleshooting.

The three ways to argue

Text debate (Pro): type your turns against an AI opponent that actually responds to your points; a judge scores the exchange.
Spoken debate (Pro): speak your turns instead; your speech is transcribed and the debate flows from what you said.
Live voice debate (Premium): real-time voice-to-voice sparring with an opponent that talks back. Premium includes 60 live audio minutes per month.

Live voice is the one feature that justifies Premium. If you're not using it, Pro is the right plan; that's by design, not a trick.

Spoken/live modes need the microphone: check the permission first.
If a live session drops, rejoin from the debate screen; a drop ends the connection, not your debate record.
If an opponent turn or verdict fails, the screen offers a retry; a reference code on the error helps us trace it if it persists.
Live minutes are metered: when the monthly allowance runs out, live mode says so plainly and text/spoken modes remain.
