Refund Policy

Rhetoric is operated by Cortis LLC(Wyoming, USA). We'd rather you stay because the product earns it than because a refund is hard to get. This page is the whole policy, no fine print behind it.

The 14-day guarantee

If Rhetoric isn't for you, request a full refund within 14 days of your first paymentand we'll return it in full, one email, no questionnaire, no “retention specialist”. The guarantee covers your first paid period on a new subscription (the initial month or the initial year), whichever plan you chose.

How to ask

  • Email support@rhetoric.app from your account address with the word “refund”. That is genuinely all that's required.
  • We process approved refunds to your original payment method through Stripe, usually within two business days. Your bank may take a few more to show it.
  • A refund ends the subscription and the associated access at the same time, see below for what stays.

Renewals and cancellation

After the first period, subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, yourself, from Settings → Manage billing, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal, no email needed to stop billing.

  • Cancelling keeps full access through the end of the period you already paid for; you are not billed again.
  • Renewal charges(the months or years after the first) are outside the 14-day guarantee, but if a renewal caught you by surprise, write to us, we read every message and treat people the way we'd want to be treated.

Premium live-audio minutes

Premium includes 60 live audio debate minutes per month. The 14-day guarantee still applies to a new Premium subscription even if you've used some minutes, we're not going to meter your trial of the thing you signed up to try.

Your speeches are never held hostage

Whatever happens to your subscription, your writing stays yours. After a refund, cancellation, or expiry, you keep a read-only, exportable library, you can open and download your speeches as documents or text. We never lock your own words behind a paywall to pressure a renewal. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion timelines, and Settings for instant self-serve export and account deletion.
